Greg Stanfield was waiting for his second-round Pro Stock race when rain and cold weather forced NHRA officials to move the finish of the Auto-Plus Nationals to Monday at Maple Grove Raceway.

The race was stopped after the second round of Top Fuel and Funny Car, so Stanfield and the Nitro Fish/Coffman Tank Trucks GXP team will open the day’s action.

Stanfield advanced with is quickest run of the weekend, 6.542 seconds at 210.67 mph. That, coupled with a large lead following a reaction time of .014-second to Krisher’s .099 led to the win. Krisher’s quarter-mile time was 6.531 at 211.46.

When the race resumes, Stanfield will be matched against Greg Anderson.
