For your trailer, I'd say just contact your regular auto insurance guy. Mine has all of our street vehicles and trailers as well as the transporter fully insured.
Now, on to the race car. I have no idea what to do there. We use video surveilance on everything since the police don't care, won't take prints, give little hope of catching the perp and are apt to just refer you back to your insurance carrier. With a video of the theft, I can not only identify my thieves, I can most likely get back all my things if I act quickly.
