Farmer’s Insurance Teams up with Palmer for Lucas Oil Nationals at Brainerd (1 Viewer)

After participating in the entire Western Swing, most teams head back to their home base to have a well received weekend off before the Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, Minnesota. Not Scott Palmer, though, instead he heads straight to Brainerd, intent on finalizing a one-race sponsorship deal with Farmer’s Insurance. Local Farmer’s agent Marty Johnson has worked all year to put together a relationship with his company, Scott Palmer, and the NHRA, and it has come together just a week before the Brainerd National Event.

“We have been friends with Marty for a few years, and he always comes out and lends a hand on the car, so we are pretty excited to have the opportunity to represent Farmer’s Insurance for his ‘hometown’ event. We are working Marty to continue a relationship with Farmer’s in the future.”

The team had a successful trip out west, and look forward to continuing that momentum through the weekend, with Scott performing double duty again, also driving Doug Doucette’s a-fuel dragster.

“Our main sponsor, Marck Industries, gave us the opportunity to go out west, and I can honestly say that the Western Swing was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. We all had a lot of fun, so we just decided to extend it for another few weekends. So now with Farmer’s Insurance coming on board, we are really going to try to introduce them to the NHRA the right way. So make sure you all come out and check out the Farmer’s Insurance Top Fuel Dragster this weekend at Brainerd.”
