I was surprised that nobody mentioned that Ashley or her crew had the Queen of Hearts taped to the firewall. Personally when i saw it i smiled and thought it was cool. But that is just me as i like people with class.

We notice at Gators and Houston, do you know of a special relevance to team?

Ron Capps had an Ace of Spades on his firewall in reference to Ed Mc Cullouch's nickname of "Ace" so I would assume somebody picked up on that and the "Queen Of Hearts" was chosen

I think I heard it mentioned on the telecast a couple of times.

Personally, I'd rather be the queen of Diamonds, you know that old song

"Don't you draw the queen of diamonds boy, she'll beat you if she's able, you know the queen of hearts is always your best bet"

I'd rather be a beater than a friend :p

Clint Black may have done a cover, I'm not sure, but those particular lyrics came from the Eagles song "Desperado". I have always wondered if Jessie chose the moniker Queen of Diamonds because of them....

Clint Black did do the cover to Desperado. I just wasn't sure who the original artists were. It used to freak me out when a 'new song' would come out on the radio and I'd be singing it (quite badly, I might add) and then my dad would jump in knowing all the words.

It was more surprising to me that Dad would be singing a 'new' song because he always listens to 'oldies' or Catholic radio. Wouldn't expect him to hear something 'new' :)

Clint Black's version is on the Common Threads CD where country artists sing Eagles songs. A great CD.

She needs a better moniker in my opinion; Long before her, Shirley was The Bounty Huntress... Della was the Funny Honey & Crazy Daisy....:D

All this talk of music and song titles and cards got me thinking about one of my favorite Dylan tunes, "Lily, Rosemary, and the Jack of Hearts," which he has never done in public. Hey, I'm a professor, we tend to like Dylan and he has a line about us and pointless and useless information that is used when someone attacks your imagination.

For more on "Lily, Rosemary, and the Jack of Hearts," see the following websites.
