Pro Stock Bikes for sure, they race hard. The TF Harleys are like the old Import cars, they rarely had 2 cars run side by side on any given run. They just seem like an exhibition.

Again, I get the appeal of close, side by side racing. But, everyone loves Pro Mod, and very often runs are aborted, or pedaled, or crashed. That's the unpredictability that is appealing. What if we brought in AA/FA eliminator, would that be unpopular because they don't always produce side by side runs to the stripe? The higher power, most volatile machines are also the most unpredictable. Just throwing out some food for thought.

Wow, 16 TF Harleys in Bristol vying for 8 spots. That's a lot of support, seems like the class is getting stronger. I didn't think there were that many wingnuts out there! :D

Nitro twins.
Calling those things Harley's is like calling Steve Torrance a pro basketball player. Just because he has two legs and played a little ball in middle school, doesn't make him one. Now, if you have a class with 883 Sportsters on nitro, then the name Nitro Harley works. We could sit in the stands and bet, in inches, how far it goes before blowing the heads off.

I'm obviously biased on this subject but I would like to correct a couple of things. There are a few things on some of our bikes that were produced for street Harleys but nothing in the engine. Most of our bikes have 45 degree engines. Harley doesn't pay any of the purse or contingency. There are a lot of us wingnuts that can't afford to travel and compete for such a small purse. We all try to make side by side runs but burning Nitro is tricky and takes its toll.

I like both. Apples and oranges IMHO.

P/S bikes are fast, powerful, the races are close. The riders launch, tuck in, and (usually) it's a smooth pass with a tight finish.

Nitro bikes launch, and it seems the riders are JUST dancing on that "outa-control" line all the way down the strip.

Both fun to watch.
