On NHRA.tv yesterday is was stated (Jason Galvin) that Nick Januik basically took the engine out of his TAFC and put it in his "RedLine Oil" sponsored Pro Mod Corvette that he is running at the US Nationals.Would depend on the engine. Seems to me that a Pro Mod with a screw blower would be close to what TA/FC is now.
In a way he did, but didn’t. ProMods run a PSI “C” blower where the TA cars run a PSI “D”. The “C” blower will support a bit more power than the “D”.On NHRA.tv yesterday is was stated (Jason Galvin) that Nick Januik basically took the engine out of his TAFC and put it in his "RedLine Oil" sponsored Pro Mod Corvette that he is running at the US Nationals.
Not so- the rpm limits on the overdrive are way lower than the alky carsIn a way he did, but didn’t. ProMods run a PSI “C” blower where the TA cars run a PSI “D”. The “C” blower will support a bit more power than the “D”.
So to answer the OP’s question. A PM legal engine combo would be faster in a TAFC than the current TAFC engine combo.
That is true, they are. Considering that, they are pretty close. Maybe not identical, but close. Not so- the rpm limits on the overdrive are way lower than the alky cars
