I am pretty sure Coke had no stake in Monster when they were sponsoring Bernstein. If I recall correctly, KB got the sponsorship because he was able to put the Monster folks with the Budweiser folks from his previous relationship with Bud and Budweiser was handling distribution of Monster in a B2B deal.

EDIT: I am correct, Coke did not buy into Monster until 2014.

When Kenny left the seat Tommy Johnson Jr stepped in for one season when coke informed Kenny they wouldn’t let Monster sponsor his ride so Kenny shut it down same thing happened to Jerry Toliver with Rock Star.

Kenny had 1 year left on that deal, he took to buyout and shut the team down. He doesn't have a house on the beach for making stupid business decisions.

Agreed on Ashley, but I’m a fan of Steve-O. Yeah, he’s a rich kid, but I think he’s enjoying the fact that he’s alive, and making the absolute most of the opportunities given to him. Were guys like Richard Tharp, Snake, and WJ arrogant? Cocky? Confident? Competitive? Isn’t that what we want in drivers?
They were all of that...and more!

I am pretty sure he still has everything he needs to go racing. They have not been sitting on their hands the last couple of seasons, they have been actively seeking sponsorship of their own while they were consulting for other teams.
While I agree they have not been sitting on their hands the last couple of seasons, I'm not sure he still has everything he needs to go racing. I don't know if he really has a desire to be a team owner again unless he is offered sponsorship money at a level not only equal or better than what he had with Al-Anabi, but also enough for him to back away from consulting on the other TF teams. One guy can only wear so many hats...

... and much of the "stuff" he had (besides a hauler) is likely outdated and wouldn't be competitive in the current game.

AJPE, never heard of them......

is he related to Warren Johnson?

I kinda wish AJ would stay in the consultant role. He has helped a number of teams get on the same page, & it makes T/F more interesting. I really hate watching #1 Vs #16 and you know that #1 is so much quicker that it's not even gonna be a race. But if #16 has AJ in their corner, then you know he / she has a chance.

Anything AJ tunes/consults on is in the top few cars, he can't tune them all. How many champions has he tuned out of the last 20??

Ya
Yea....where oh where would he be able to get blocks, heads, manifolds, rods, pistons, etc in a pinch? Maybe he could give this guy a call?

Ya ... thanks for the obvious Mike
But my point was around the whole operation. Haven't seen to many AJ blocks with tires mounted to them.

My point was more around the fact that if he still has anything from the Al Anabi deal, it's not of much use in 2018 TF racing.
