If a certain driver, who shall remain unnamed so as to avoid any kind of jinx, looks like he's going to win he championship I'm most certainly heading out to Pomona for the Finals.

Can anyone recommend places to stay, eat, etc....?

In 'n' Out is a given so no need to mention that. :D

Hi Drew

The Sheraton is on the same property as the track.

There is a Motel 6 in San Dimas, behind the track.

On the other side, there is a double tree, also behind the track, in Claremont, on Foothill.
Real easy to get to, away from the hustle and bustle, easy to get to and from the track, close to the track and LaVerne where there is everything.

On the 10 fwy, 3 exits down from the exit for the track(Fairplex dr) is
Indian Hill. On that street on both sides of the fwy are hotels.
Howard Johnson, Claremont Lodge, and another one(drawing a blank).
Those are clean, close to the track, but in the hustle and bustle.

If you want really high upper crust swanky, do the Hotel Casa in Claremont's "village".

There is a "no-tell" motel *cough* called the Lemon Tree right off the Fairplex exit, next to the Denny's.

Don't do the Rodeway behind the track on Foothill.

There aren't really any in Montclair.

There are tons and tons of hotels along the 10 in Ontario near the airport. It's a little bit longer of a drive, not too bad. You have to work around the Fairplex exit on the 10 if you do these, or get to the track early. The race traffic can really get backed up there.

Food-wise, there are tons and tons of places in LaVerne, San Dimas' Pinnacle steak house, Claremont's upscale downtown "village".

You have to have a breakfast at El Merendero next to the track. In & Out is behind the track.

I live close by to all these places, so I'll see you out here!

The NHRA museum is on site. Pretty neat, IMHO, worth the admission. I think that they have a collectibles show at the hotel there too? Or at least they did in the past.
Are you into off road r/c cars? Revelations Raceway is a stones throw from the track, they have club racing on Saturday nights.

Hey Drew, what year did you have in mind??:D

Stay away from the Ramada by Ontario Airport. :o Checked in, checked out within 5 min.

Be sure to drive the dragsters at Malibu Speedzone in City of Industry.

I've stayed at the Doubletree in Ontario, Pacific Palms Resort in City of Industry, Hilton in Ontario, and one more I can't remember, and liked them all.

In-N-Out is obvious!! I also like Claim Jumper in Rancho Cucamonga.

Best advice for Pomona EVER!!! Listen to Flores....he is wise in the way of Parker Ave....

Oh, and I don't know what kind of "JINX" that Jack will have in winning the championship??? Sophmore slump??? Naw...!!;)

Drew, there are a TON of Motels within 20 miles of the track! That's one thing that's easy in Pomona. Charlet's web is correct, El Merendero on Fairplex avenue is some Good eatin!;)

Drew, bring yer card, if yer a nhra member museum is FREE.

It's Free for everyone during a National Race weekend -- and free Tram ride over from the race track ... and I think Tommy Ivo lives there ... :)

Pomona Valley Mining Company is a great place to eat. We stayed at the Lemon Tree years ago and it was great. Don't know about now.

Drew, I always stay at the Ontario Airport Marriott off the 10 freeway (Vineyard Exit). Full service Marriott for $89 a night....can`t beat it. It`s maybe a 10-15 minute drive to the Fairplex. There`s an In-N-Out off Vineyard too. Next to the Marriott is a Doubletree where a lot of teams stay and there`s a Hilton next exit up (built on the old Ontario Motor Speedway site) that`s pretty nice. Plenty of chain restaurants in that area as well. Paul is right about El Merendero, you have to order one of their breakfast burritos!

If you are on a budget, there's a Motel 6 in Pomona that still has rooms available -- approx 4 1/2 miles south of the track, easy straight drive.
