Charity Poker in Vegas with your favorite driver

If you are coming to the Las Vegas race and can be here a day or two early here is the info on the Cards for Kids Poker tournament. It’s a lot of fun and you can play poker with your favorite driver. Here is the link for the flyer. http://www.scclasvegas.org/2007%20Poker%20Brochure.pdf

(I think I did it right)
Hope to see some of you there!

I hope to be there. The flier doesn't mention limits on the number of entries, but since they're estimating a 10:00 finish, I'd assume it must be rather small, especially with unlimited rebuys for the first hour. I've seen 30 player hold'em tourney's take longer than three hours, but, those were tourneys where the people playing knew what they were doing, so a pool of 120 mostly rookies could be wrapped up rather quickly. :)

Bob,

About 130 people including drivers, we had 16 drivers last year and Bob Fry was there too. I will update the list of drivers for you as we get more confirmed. Usually we try to have two drivers per table.

Sounds like fun! I hope I start the game at the same table as Frey. He should be easier to read than a stop sign. ;)

A few years ago, the Henkelman/Baca team had the Plaza downtown spread a low limit hold'em game for them in the poker room. I managed to get in that game. Rick Henkelman and Johnny West were in that game, and while both men know their way around a fuel car, neither were very good poker players. That too was fun! :)

I just made my hotel reservations this afternoon -- five nights at the Riviera. My casino host comped the first three nights, and gave me a sweet rate on the other two. I love Las Vegas!

Bob :)
