She returned from a Christmas vacation this week to find that a now ex-employee had been stealing cash and gift cards from the homeless families at the shelter. Last I heard, the police were investigating. Hopefully the scumbag will end up behind bars...

We've had similar things happen here. Usually the person that stole the money used it to play video poker and other lotto games placed in taverns.

Some people simply have no shame. This would have to have been "plotted" to some degree. Getting in to volunteer, knowing where the money is kept and so on. They should post this person's photo all over the net after he or she is convicted complete with the story!
