The Treachery Strategy was to outlast John and make the same picks. Got to the point where I was afraid that I would wake up at 3 am with my head on the keyboard and no picks. So . . . one run will determine who wins! -

The same argument has been made over and over for years now. Friday night qualifying gives the edge yes, but usually there is another day of qualifying. Some choose to play it close and risk missing the cut. It's part of the game IMHO. I've won it all and just missed it. It's a risk that makes it fun.
I figured you guys were playing chicken as to who could get their picks in last.
Of course technically I do take picks via PM as well as often people are going to be out of town and send them to be ahead of time. You could have sent in stealth picks.

As far as changing the cutoff time. I am always open to suggestions. At one point many years ago we did have a Thursday cut however many people would miss races as they don't think about racing until Friday.
I have found that the Friday pick allows people to get in and it keeps them interested all year. Once someone misses a race or two they tend to drop out and we end up with only 10 people playing all season.
The ones who like to wait until late on Friday to make a pick also tend to blow it at least once a season, so its the catch for waiting.
However if the masses want to move the time up we can look at it.
