PHOENIX

Not spoiling, Paul... If I was looking for results of today, I would log on here... If I didn't want to know, I'd avoid the web like a bad cold

WHY can't they get live timing working right ? It is still stuck in stock eliminator. Same thing happened yesterday.

One thing about Firebird, may not be the greatest facility out there, but the Crowds and the performances never lack! But the Casino completely F**ked up the traffic flow getting in and out! What an Abortion!

There idea of traffic flow sucks. It even interferes with I10. Traffic coming off the 202 trying to get on 10 then 10 traffic trying to get to wild horse all flip flopping at the same area.

Would have been better to send everyone down 10 to next exit. Three right turns would put you in the parking lot.

Epping was a mess the first year of the New England Nationals. They had it figured out the year following. I'm pretty sure Phoenix will have it straightened out next year.

I haven't been to Firebird since 2003, but I can remember them using that route.

Well . . . I'm at least partially a convert. In spite of condemned facilities, crowd control, security, concessions and (surprise) REST ROOMS were all handled very well. While traffic control seems to be crazy, we were on the 202 fifteen minutes after exiting gate 3. As far as racing, what can you say! Virtually no delays, even lanes and incredible racing. Fuel drivers running career bests and losing. Talked to many fans who said it was the best race they have ever seen. Great day. Oh yeah . . . forgot to mention the biggest crowds I've ever seen here and I've been coming to this track for a LONG time.

After I got home Friday night. It dawned on me no major oil downs.
And again today.

Martin; if you would send mema pm. On Friday when you entered through the ticket booth.
a JR. DRAGSTER display one had a 4cyl bike engine looked cool what is it?

A fantastic weekend, tempered somewhat by the crash of Paula Cotten in her Stock Eliminator Duster Sunday morning. She's spending the night in hospital with a broken shoulder blade, broken ribs, black eyes and cuts and bruises.

I had just walked up and was getting my camera gear ready for the day when it happened, glad she's Ok. Hopefully we'll see her back at the track for one of the ADRA/WHP team races fairly soon.
