Past Champ testing in FC?

Over at CompPlus, rumor has it a past world champ was testing a "top tier" FC in Vegas. Sounds like it could be a past T/F champ, anyone have any insight? Tony Shoe?

How about Mark Oswald? They guy hopped in my car and drove like he never left the seat. Mark was testing our car to work on some clutch combinations
to run fast when the sun is out!

congrats on a great job also mike. my guess is maybe larry dixon or tony $humacher. funny car is more exciting and it seems sponsors love the funny cars over the dragsters. it seems people are having no problem getting sponsors for floppers but the points leader has no sponsor in the dragster. maybe this former champ will make the move to a flopper soon.

Mike answered who it was. It was Mark Oswald testing clutch setups.

Then again it says multi-time World Champion. Mark only has one NHRA Championship. Does he have any in IHRA?

Mark won three championships in IHRA. He won the NHRA and IHRA titles simultaneously in 1984 with the Candies & Huges car. - Bobby
