I tend to move around. When I do take a seat, I like to sit either near the starting line in GA or the finish line. This year I get access to a tower suite (thank you John Ramsey!) so that's going to be fun. Haven't had that since 2006. 
The bleachers on the reserved side are newer (and metal, aluminum?) but most of the GA side are old, wooden bleachers. Just an FYI.
I don't think anyone would let me sit behind the wheel of a funny car.

I love section A3, it's the angled section right at the start where you're looking essentially directly down track. Have been in those seats for something like 20 years now. The "seats" are splintery wooden planks that are nasty, tiny and jammed way too close together (come on Pacific, really?), but the view is tremendous. And most people are smart enough not to stand up on every pass, so you see the whole race.
I agree with Williams. Those seats behind the starting line are awesome but you are definitely crammed in there. Close to the pits too. Hey, and there`s a beer/concession stand right behind the bleachers that is never very busy! First Seattle National Event race I`m not going to be at in fourteen years

I don't know who the guy was but while I was at the pre-race press conference at the Space Needle I was sitting next to this reporter who was asking one of the track employees the difference between General Admission and Reserved (O'Reilly is doing a deal where you can get discount tickets at its stores and the reserved seats are like $45 if you buy there so that's what led to him asking about the seats, he was curious why it was a deal, but I digress).
And I was like, "Have you ever BEEN to the track?"
He said he's covered it for nine years (this is my eighth) and he always stays in the media trailer.
So, moral of the story? The media trailer is the WORST seat in the house.
