So- is it atmospheric conditions are that close to perfect, or that teams have figured out all their experiments from the end of last season and are applying them in qualifying, or that the timing blocks are at 998 feet?

Almost EVERYONE is flying in qualifying... Alexis is at 3.99 from Q3; JF is rotating the earth and you know that AJ has got something planned for the last session for both AlAnabi cars. DSR dragsters will be set on kill and obviously the Kalitta team has found their swing...
 
Good track, good conditions, don't forget Pomona runs downhill too, so that helps. Prock has that car figured out down low, out of 3 runs his slowest 60' was .880, and that was the .96 pass!
