One lane track?

Several runs in a row smoke the tires almost at the hit in the left lane. Bad time up or poor track conditions? Guess we'll find out later...

I don't think so, good runs have been made in both.

Sometimes a crew chief can just miss the setup, where others nail it three or four times in a row. With all the grooming and inspection going on, your talents as a tuner will be based off of what you take away from the track surface and the weather gauges... Both lanes looked good; I'd be looking at the names that made the final decisions, and not the condition of the track (or how the sanctioning body groomed it).

My hats off to Nhra for busting their butts and doing another outstanding job keeping a great racing surface even though there was not the best weather conditions all weekend.
