I've always liked Dick Charbonneau's wagon. I owned a '68 Vista Cruiser that I really regret getting rid of. (I don't know WHAT the he!! I was thinking.)

There's this one that I took a picture of in Brainerd in 1985. It was always a strong runner.

The thing about Olds motors is that they don't wind to the stratosphere like other engines, so at first blush, the uninitiated would not think that they're running that strong, but when they cross the finish line and the time comes up on the board, it's "wow, that thing is fast!"

Very cool pictures Rich!! Thanks for posting the wagons. I have a soft spot in me heart for them.

You know, I think someone in this burg has Dick's old wagon, and has restored it. Now that I think about it, I remember seeing it at a Feb World of Wheels car show in Mpls a couple of years ago.

If that's the case the owner needs to contact me. I have some cool stuff that they would love.

Hey Rich, cool pics, and that issue of SS&DI has a special memory for me. Inside there is coverage of a Div.1 points meet at Atco NJ, and a photo of my dad's A/A because he had set the speed record at the event. Neat stuff!
