Oil change

I changed the oil and filter in my Silverado today. O'Reilly Auto Parts (involved in the NHRA) had a really good special: 5 quarts of Castrol (involved in the NHRA) Edge synthetic oil and a Mobil 1 oil filter for $31.99. The engine in the truck takes 6 quarts, so I bought a quart of Lucas (involved in the NHRA) Oil Stabilizer to make the 6th quart. I've purchased Fram oil filters for over 30 years, but I'm glad this special offer included a Mobil 1 filter, because I really wanted to use a younger-looking oil filter this time.

All sounds good except that Silverado. GM pulled out of drag racing, right? Maybe a Toyota or a Ford and you would be good. Or how about a Komatsu? Do they make trucks?

Use AmSoil pure synthetic and AmSoil oil filters, none better.

If you had to put Lucas Oil Stabilizer in aren't you saying that the Castrol isn't as good as it could be?
