Randy, I haven't seen or heard one thing about any EV problems in the S E hurricane storm. WE know trouble had to exist, but nothing in the media has been said.

Right now only about 15% of the new cars being sold are 100% electric. 10 years from now who knows what that percentage will be even with the mandates for it. Some gas stations in South Florida had long gas lines at those that had electricity to turn on the pumps. The nutty part is, Newsom, in California, while asking people not to charge their electric cars during the hot summer months, has banned the sale of portable generators statewide by 2028.

Here's how people will cope if all else fails.

With regards to the EV push, ultimately the consumers will decide what will happen. I feel at this point there still is not enough interest for the market to grow significantly.

And no, car manufacturers are not going woke. They are business people who will take the govt. subsadies whether the cars are sold or not; free (tax payer) money. Only the Toyota CEO is willing to say what he feels in public.

Watching Toyota’s NHRA program, and Akio Toyoda’s recent comments about the industry, I am gaining a huge amount of respect for this company

Nothing but Toyota products for us since GM canned Oldsmobile. Great cars, great service out of them.
