Ok since it's basically the Christmas season I think I'll list my favorite Toys as a kid:

Hot Wheels Snake and Mongoose set!

Fat track with about 6 Hot Wheels Sizzlers

Toss across

Mind Maze

Stratego

My Cox .049 Funny car

Easy Money

Smash up Derby cars

Erector set

I'll think of more later...

My mom has a picture of me at Christmas in 1960. One of my gifts was a Texaco tanker truck. Though it would be kind of cool to have another one, so I ran down a restored version on eBay one night. I got off when the bidding passed $1000. Decided I didnt want it that bad:eek:

Aurora AFX Slot Cars

Nerf Ping Pong

Coleco Vision

Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots

Air Hockey

Radio Shack electronic test kits/projects

ROCK EM' SOCK EM' ROBOTS RULE!!!

We also loved the Lincoln Logs!!! Anything Lego and Erector Set was great for my parents si that we were all occupied! Of course, any REVELL race car model was a winner too!

Christmas 1983, I was 9, the Atari 2600.

BEST.CHRISTMAS.EVER.

Worked all summer to save for an Atari. What simple, expensive games! All the different versions of Tank. Steer the shot, you're in the dark, they're in the dark.

Traded it years later for a set of slicks for my Chevelle.

Too funny!! My boys got me one last Christmas :)... You would be amazed how many arguements can be solved with a best Threeout Of Five..:D

In '69, we were living in a 2 story duplex in Inglewood, CA (when it was still a GREAT neighborhood..), and the single mom and her two daughters (same age as me and my brother-Paris and Desiree- THOSE are good memories!) who lived in the downstairs kept coming home with the coolest thing ever for drag racing/ hot rod boys- these little metal cars that ran like snot down this orange track.. Mom worked at Mattel, and would bring home first-Gen Hot Wheels for all of us.. Still have some today (the ones that didn't fly off into the gutter on our bazillion-yard long track!! :D)

Good times....

TYCO Raceway with Cale Yarbrough and Richard Petty cars!

When you could tear apart and reassemble CP30 and put him on the back of Chewbacca.

GIJoe: Destro and Cobra Commander would sleep on my headboard.

Me and my dad besting each other at Pole Position.

Still have toss across and Atari, remember the Tonka backhoe and dumptruck, cool toys!!!

And also "destruction derby" cars, blow em up, put em right back together and do it again!!
