A clutch problem bit Dave Northrop and crew chief Eddie Guarnaccia Saturday and led to Northrop and Kenny Koretsky's Nitro Fish/ISC Racers Tape Dodge team winding up 17th for Sunday's ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
"We had a good day Friday and a miserable day Saturday," lamented Northrop, of Perkasie, Pa. "We had a clutch problem on our first run and rolled the (starting) lights and that hurt us. Eddie made some changes for the final run and we were 15th quickest, but that didn't help and we came up four-thousandths of a second too slow."
Northrop's quickest run (6.773 seconds) came Friday night.
