No dives this weekend and I am not talking about JFR

the zone

Wondering it was all straight up.... no wait, the defending champ does not need help.
And I am not saying this to be an ass, I am saying it because teams do whatever necessary to help, so leave it when a team mate loses to another team mate. It happens, and sometimes (likely most of the time), a dive is not a dive just racing period.

Like I said in the previous thread, why dive this week and not last week in the final?

I certainly understand what you are saying, Paul. But it was quite bizarre that in that lane with that car, the tires went up in smoke. Probably just a coincidence, but I did text my brother before the run with this message: "No way Capps beats Hagan." But then again, in that lane with THAT car, no one expected AJ to do what he did. (But AJ did have a mechanical issue from the round before that easily could have caused the bad setup.)

But then again, I have long said that I have no problem with team orders as long as the teams don't lie about it. (And I am talking about JFR. ;))

it's too bad NHRA made a rule so they have to lie about it... I mean, we aren't children, I think most fans understand sometimes the team needs to come first

Kinda wish I had paid more attention to RCs reaction and
body language at the top end...
Don HAS said his Teams would NEVER toss a run, and I
believe him. He has always been stand up here. I went off
on the whole Fast Jack/ Capps switcharoo on here. Next day,
Don got on and said he would FIX the situation, and lo and
behold, he has. I give the man credit. I would also like to
personally thank Don for putting Schumacher Electric on the car
for Jack.
Lets hope for some more Freightliner and Sandvick {sp} help later
this year. I spoke to a Regional guy from Sandvick and he was totally
blown away by Jacks presentation and oratory to the company
employees at the HQ in Jersey. Jack has a VERY inspirational story
to tell, and any company could use a nice moral booster in this economy!!!

If the person who is signing my paycheck tells me to take a dive and the grass is brown , i guess i take a dive . I dont care racing is racing !.......sports politics will always be there

More like if the guy signing the paychecks tells the crewchief to smoke the tires, you make some clutch/timing/ whatever adjustments and don't tell your driver, he goes out, cuts a good light, teammate goes on to the next round...it's all business/racing...like it or not...
