Here's what happens to a top fuel tire when you lose traction at about 250 ft.

Thats nothing compared to what happens to the tire on the big end.

Great picture. It really shows the tire stepping on itself displaying not enough wheel speed compared to one that's gonna go (unless it spins too much later in the run).
