Night of Fire - Summit Motorsports Park (16 Viewers)

Capps with a 3.84. Wow. He said he chunked her in deep too, probably lost a few hundos.

What a great event.
If I even lived close to Norwalk I would definitely attend. I’m just glad we live in an era that we can see results and highlights on social media. Great crowd.

Maybe the offer was too big to refuse and he finally decided to sell the track to Darryl
I question the validity of this, and although I didn’t hear Bader say this personally, from what I can glean, he was more stressing that this year would be the spring board to next year‘s giant 50th year celebration. The event has been enormously successful, why would he cancel it? Does anyone have a source?

Further, I highly doubt that the IHRA, or Darryl, is going to be buying any tracks from this point forward.

I was there yesterday/last night. He said it over the p.a. It made me sad..... They invite the fans to come out on track after it's over. I saw him and asked him why he said next year is the final one. He said he was "just talking" I asked him to please continue doing the Night Under Fire. I told him we travel from Nashville Tennessee for the event, it's that good!

Having never attended this event, how is it different than the Finals of an NHRA race, aside from being at night?
Went to many of these, used to be on Fourth of July weekend, the biggest difference is the pageantry, opening parade and festivities second only to Indy 500, fireworks show as good as claimed.
My favorite though was getting there early afternoon long before the show started, for Nitro test sessions, you could watch the teams from the staging lanes all the way to the starting line only time of the year to get this close to the top teams. Most teams made multiple runs.

That sounds much more hopeful that the event will not end soon.
