That's really what the focus should be: cutting costs. I'm not saying there's an easy answer, but if costs were lower, more cars in EVERY class would come out. That in itself would draw more fans. I read an article in ND at the very beginning of the season that discussed how manufacturers of big ticket items, such as cranks and rods for fuel cars, were considering changing how they build them. I wish I had it in front of me, but it seemed like a relatively small change in how they were built, probably adding a bit of weight, added substantially to the life of the parts. Anyway, that's the type of thing that needs to happen. To me the only thing that would be exciting about fuel cars going to 1320 would be if they were allowed to go faster. Given that would add to risks and costs, that's not going to happen. So what's the point?
