Was on at 5:30 EST on ESPN2. Finals are at 4:30 today.

I believe the name of the listing for the tv guide was changed for this event and most dvr s didn't pick up the change

I missed it too. I wasn't expecting it to be on until late in the evening so when I checked the schedule and saw that it had aired at 4:30 (central) I was surprised.

My DVR picked up the event broadcast after the first round of Top Fuel.
When I inquire about why these difficulties continue seriatum, I am informed that it owes to:
1) The popularity of baseball,
2) Comcast's lack of authority over ESPN's decisions,
3) ESPN's inability to concur with Comcast,
4) The high level of competence displayed by broadcasters who are all-knowing and who do I think I am anyway?
Since there has been a loose consensus here that I must fix ESPN's problems for them; I advise that I have sent ESPN a dictionary with a Post It note marking the page on which the definition of the word "schedule" appears.
Now, if they just have someone who can read . . . . .

I have ATT Uverse and had no trouble with my dvr picking it up from the beginning. Guess I'm lucky! LOL.

Of course I had watched a lot of it on espn3.com thru my xbox.

I love the espn3 broadcast!! It is a true shame due to superstitions that I am no longer allowed to watch live unless I am at races......
