NHRA Chandler AZ this weekend, temp and DA

Today seemed not as bad as yesterday even though temp was the same. Tomorrow could be tough since finals don't end till 3pm.

Latest temp/DA forecast updated 7 AM Chandler time. No major changes from Friday/Saturday. And thus no surprise that, at least in Nitro funny Car, all the best ETs and speeds were run in the morning sessions Q1 and Q3.

Some very thing clouds have hung around since this morning. Kept the temps down.

I know the qualifying wasn’t the greatest numerically, but I had an absolute blast this weekend. Maddi Gordon going to the semi finals again, Ron Capps defying the odds and clawing back to a win, Shawn Langdon continuing to own the desert, Justin Bond coming off crutches to take it to the promod field, redemption for Dallas Glenn, Nathan Sitko getting it done in the legacy car. So many great stories I can’t even list them all, really great time. Drag racing is the greatest motorsport for spectators in my opinion, and Firebird is a great track.

I loved the Firebird facility when I was living in Chandler. Boats And Cars what more could a guy want.
And especially when they had the Preseason testing going on.

The pre season testing was my favorite thing as a kid, it was so laid back and cool, I got to stand awful close to the starting line many times.
