OK, let's go to Pomona for the last <sniff> race of the year:

7am, 65 degrees out, warm winds, Santa Maria sunrise, time to hit the road. But first, let's get some greasy breakfast at McD's:

nowwww hit the road..101 South 3 hours to Mecca (don't mind that yellow light!)

8am, State route 154 high above, overlooking Santa Barbara...except it's under all that fog!

10 am, arrive at hallowed and sacred Pomona fairplex (this is avenue "D")

I thought I was early, but I was wrong! Packed.
