Has any first visit to a drag race been so keenly -- or nervously -- awaited?

We pray, of course, that Mr. Lemonis will be properly impressed by NHRA's business credentials and potential.

But beyond that, let's just wish him a thoroughly enjoyable time at the track.

He is willing to sponsor a ton of teams next weekend if they are unsponsored.

Unfortunatley I think he's gonna find out ( at least with the fuel cars) It's gonna be alot more diffcult for unsponsored teams to find quality crew members on short notice

I believe He was at a couple of races last year.

Scroll to the end of the article:

" When the 2021 season opens at the March 11-14 Gatornationals at Gainesville, Fla., Lemonis will experience for the first time this sensory-overload spectacle he has joined.

“I’ve never been, and I’m excited to go to the first one as we start the season. It’ll be my first time,” he said. "

And again ... A Mater throws cold water on something extremely positive. Geez !!!

Terry McMillen already came out and said he can't make due to the crew member issue you mention. It's going to be much easier for the unsponsored teams who were already going.

I saw on the Nitro Reports where Jeff Diehl said they will be there and they have funds to run the first five races.

Yeah unfortunately Terry can’t make it because only Rob Wendland remains on the payroll. However I do think it’s possible we see him return at the second race of the season. I’m excited to see who maybe could be a surprise entry at the Gators. Wouldn’t surprise me to see any of the following names on the list. TJ jr, Beckman, Schumacher, Prock, or Vandergriff. I’m sure they could get a crew together on short notice. Alex Laughlin does not currently have sponsor money for the Gators so he might get the last second funds as well.

Could there be some last minute phone calls "Were getting the band back together" and former crew members ripping off their aprons and headed out the door? Yeah I watched Blues Brothers yesterday!:D

thought his deal in Vegas for the trucks was EPIC! I could see more companies trying this out.

Back in the '80's I remember hearing that Force's deal with Castrol was that they would match any national event winnings only...I may be wrong, but thought that was intuitive for them at the time.
