May 14, 2007 - RADFORD, VA--Motor Mile Dragway is making a competition adjustment to the widely popular Mean 16 class: beginning with the event scheduled for this weekend (May 19) the class will be split into top 8 and bottom 8 qualifiers; There will be a top 8 ladder and a bottom 8 ladder as opposed to the full 16 car ladder used thus far. The purse will also be restructured as follows:

TOP 8 QUALIFIERS
Winner: $3000
Runner-up: $2000
Semis: $1250
First Round Loser: $1000

BOTTOM 8 QUALIFIERS
Winner: $1000
Runner-up: $750
Semis: $500
First Round Loser: $250

Entry Fee: $75

As a special exhibition for this event, Matt Hagan and Mike Janis will run a best-2-out-of-3 match race! Don't miss former 2-time IHRA Janis square off against 2006 AMS Pro Modified Rookie Of The Year Matt Hagan at Hagan's home track! This race promises to be extremely close as Hagan and Janis are both running the Jan-Cen motor/blower combinations developed by Mike Janis.

"Mike and I have been working together on the Jan-Cen program this year, and we've become good friends," says Hagan. "It'll be loads of fun to line up against him at my home track and put on a show for some local fans. We're both really excited about it."
