I say Manzo by far. Atleast with Line if someone got 3 or 4 from him on the line they had a chance of holding him off but not the case with Manzo. If he had .200 or better (as long as he wasnt racing Tasca) he wasnt going to lose as long as the car made it down the track. Thats probably the most impressive set of runs continually ever maybe.

I would have to go with Manzo as well.
As great as Line's performance was, almost all of Pro Stock was amazing. While Manzo was alone in his domination of TAFC. Tasca was impressive but still a half a tenth behind at his best.

The Pro Stock car performance were largely based onthe atmospheric conditions, they were ALL fast, with Line a couple of hundredths ahead of the pack, which the KB cars have pretty much been over the last few years.

Now for Manzo, to be that far ahead of EVERYONE, is simply amazing.

Hey Greg, did you make it out to Kennedale or no? I heard they got rained out but I dont know how much of it they got in.

From that first pass Friday when my jaw hit ground, up until the final pass, Mr. Manzo was just AWESOME... having that much daylight ahead of the car in the other lane at 600 feet and steady pulling away... scary part is, it wasn't just the 'air'... Manzo has found something...

I think a 3rd option should be listed - Scott Kalitta! If you woulda' told me Scott would qualify #4, go to the semi's, and being towed to the lanes driving past the Brut pit crew as they're taking down thier awning poles.... I woulda' said "yer nutz".

jason was the most impressive imn my opinion, theres a chance that 55 may never be broken.

Your right Jeff, after all, even Erica on the bump was quicker than the National record at the start of the season... didn't we say the same thing after Chicago 2 in '04.

My vote goes to Frank. It was a group of incredible runs, and the rest of the class wasn't there. Which I hate because I have some good friends who have to race against him! ;)

While Jason's runs were also in the incredible catagory, so was everyone in the class.

Not so with Blown Alky cars.

Rapid

Besides Line and Manzo, how about that Koretsky? Who would have believed that the quickest Cobalt would be powered by Schmidt and driven by KK, out performing KJ and Connolly.

Thay said Garlits 5.63 in '75 was untouchable.

Think about it... 5.63 way back in '75, that is just outta this world. To put it into perspective that is the equivalent of someone running a 4.30 today.

Pro Stock is my favorite class and this race was historic for them, but I still gotta give it to Manzo. His slowest was a 51 all weekend! For him to string together that many GOOD passes with a AFC is just phenomenal. He's the man!
