Sounds like an instant collector's item for people with money to burn. Probably not a bad idea for Chrysler.

Mopar wants them on the track, not in some A/C tile floor garage.
Pretty neat deal though. Wish Ford/Chevy would do this also.
Here's a great, detailed article on the new race car. I'd love to see Buddy Martin & Herb McCandless with one of these...painted Red, White & Blue! I'll volunteer to drive the transporter for "Mr 4-Speed"!!!

John, have you heard anything about rear suspension, 4-Link or maybe a Spec sheet that shows modifications to the cars chassis.

Ford is doing this, they are releasing a "Drag Pack" Mustang later this year, it appears to be a very similar deal, it's even about the same price, $70k more or less.
Wow. That car looks and sounds sweet.

The video pretty much says it all.[/Q
Thanks for the link, sounds healthy going down the track.
To avoid collectors, I understand the cars will not be complete (some assembly required ). Mopar wants them on the track, not in some A/C tile floor garage.
About $70K is the rumour.

Well I went to the local dealer to day and they had a SRT8 that someone ordered bet then decided he wanted a stick. Anyway the dealer didn't know anything about these. Go figure
Not unusual. Even back in teh musclecar days, many dealers either had no clue about any of the performance options available, or simply wanted nothing to do with performance cars.
Galdurned hotrodders! Wadda they want to screw up a perfectly good car like that for anyhoo???
