Miller and Head comments on WFO (1 Viewer)

listening to WFO live feed last week - Bill Miller and Jim Head were two
of the guests.
The interviewer asked questions regarding the 'show' - how can the
pro cars improve to put forth a better 'show'.

Bill was first to comment and suggested more electronics on a nitro car
to help the 3 systems on car talk to each other better (air/fuel, ignition, clutch)
his arguement was better communication between these systems could
help to lessen oildowns and lessen catostrophic ($$) engine failure.
as one system failed on a run there would be electronics that would shut
down other systems essentially stopping a chain of events that results in
catastrophic engine failure that slows the 'show' and adds to the cost of racing
which in turn makes it more difficult for more independents to participate.

Jim was next and asked the same questions and specifically about Bill's
comments to innovate for better engine management systems.
Jim basically was very happy with the present situation and leery of
introducing more management systems to the present equation; although
he agreed such a system could be implemented if allowed.

don't know enough to comment intelligently.......any thoughts on this?

that hour was great to listen to last week - as the interviewer even said,
"my IQ is going up just listening to you guys"
thank you WFO radio - was glad i caught those great interviews.
wj and alan r. were also on show and equally enjoyed listening to.
