Bummer? It was an illegal bootleg feed for All Access. You could pony up for the subscription and support the service ......I did.
Steve I did last year after the NHRA cut the cable to the world. But after all the technical issues such as A/V Sync, we can't hear the cars, missed starts, no graphics and or not leaving the graphic up for long enough, dropped links, taking a week to post up the vods and having one say nothing but RAIN DELAY, way to much time spent emailing the NHRA and never getting a response, Cleeng I decided enough was enough.
I'm in Perth WA, so we are 13-16hrs ahead so having the VOD's posted up ASAP is real important. Never had an issue with the NHRA when it was on ESPN.GO!
Steve I can download a vod from Speedvideo/Motormania/Livestream of a PDRA, ADRL, NMRA/NMCA like I did yesterday of Superbowl 2017 from Route 66 as soon as it's finished no probs at all. ALL FOR FREE! So how come they can do it? Yet Ken Adelson with all his toys totally sucks at it!
You know I rang the NHRA last year from Perth at my cost to talk to the person in charge of No Access. I was told by Vicki the receptionist there wasn't anyone and gave me an email addy. Yet the person responsible is none other than Ken Adelson. I left my contact details with her and never heard a thing. She also said I wasn't the first person to ring the NHRA and complain about it.
How come you can hear the cars on the FS1 show...sort of, but not on No Access. They had No Access sounding spot on for one event last year. I wrote to them and said great keep it like that. You could hear the cars going down the strip as they had the whole thing mic'd up.
Theres a torrent site that has the FS1 shows up on Monday with the ads cut out and a another site post up the vods the next day. So we do get it, just not via our PTV operator.
The NHRA have shot themselves in the foot and put a lot of long time fans off colour with them. It's really cost them. Basically it's a domestic event and it used to be a world event. All I say is "Imagine what the World Wide TV audience would look like if FOX had the same footprint as ESPN?
They blew that deal completely and it would appear couldn't care less. And from what I read they are still having tech issues.
So Steve until they get their act together and can guarantee a Quality of Service they wont get my money.
