JORDAN STATION, ONTARIO (August 23, 2007) – Carl Spiering’s next stop on the 2007 Eaton Ultimate Power Trip will be the IHRA Motor City Nationals in Milan, Michigan.
“It should be a good weekend for us in Michigan,” said Spiering. “The G-Force Race Cars set-up on the Eaton Road Warrior is very dependable and our ERD engine program has been stout.”
“We qualified in the top half of the field there last year, that’s not bad out of thirty six teams,” added Spiering, the 42-year old driver from Jordan Station, Ontario. “A magneto failure took us out early in the second round.”
Spiering competed at the Eaton PMRA Challenge last weekend at Sanair in Quebec. The team, a fan favorite in front of over 600 Eaton customers, distributors, and employees qualified fourth before the day ended abruptly in the first round of eliminations with tire shake.
“This has been a special year for me and the Eaton Road Warrior Team,” said Spiering. “We have been concentrating on improving the car’s setup and finding more horsepower in our ERD engine program while competing at selected high profile events with the valuable support from Eaton.”
The Fifth Annual Suzuki Motor City Nationals presented by GM Performance Division, the eighth of 11 events on the $19.5 million Knoll-Gas Nitro Jam™ Drag Racing Series at Milan Dragway in Milan, Michigan August 24-26.
