Good News
I have known Sully for many years and worked closely with him on several Pro Stock projects. I consider him a good friend with a big heart and one of the sharpest people I know. He will have a long recovery, but he appears to be out of the woods now after some serious complications and a very close call Saturday night upon returning home to southern IL.
I spoke to his wife Donna tonight and she said that Mike had been moved out of the ICU and was starting to eat and to tease the nurses. He can still use our prayers and some 'cheering up', as well as some pressure to do all of the required physical therapy for a full recovery.
For those who don't know him, Sully was a Pro Stock team owner in the 90's and has worked as a technical consultant for several Pro Stock and Funny Car teams. He developed some of the first clutch performance prediction software years ago that is still used by many pro and sportsman racers, and has been the cause of many new NHRA rules over the years.
