Yep. And Sam, why would DRC photoshop a photo Just listening to the audiocast, all hand built by Janis' team. Interesting to see what advantages it would hold.
Is Janis supercharged or nitrous? You'd never know by NHRA. They always show an asterick for both nitrous and supercharged. Judging by engine size I'd guess he's supercharged?

I'm thinking they're just trying to get inside other people's heads. If the rules allow it... it'll just be a matter of time before someone else has one that is bigger. After all, how much air can you stuff into one of these motors. If you're running the blower at maximum allowable overdrive, I don't think it'll make any difference. But, I bet there's more than a few crew chiefs at their computers wondering...
It is a similar copy of Cody Perkins TAD scoop. He has a Blown BAD with a Screw PSI and had one on it at the start of the season.
Thought I have a few pictures,
will post them when I source them.
Not too long ago someone tried a stand up version of a four opening squared version.... suposedly it was to try and make the air travel into the super charger more smoothly... wonder if he is trying the same thing and the larger outer scoupe is to hide what they have done....????
I was in indy today and saw that thing. It is huge. Wonder who made it, and why they think it is better than what everybody else uses. No its not photo shop, saw it first hand.

Didn't think that was an injector - believe inlet area is restricted by the rules to 64 sq. in. (or 65 can't find it in PM rules). Containment system is also required - if its there I can't see it.
