Mike Green to Elite (6 Viewers)

My understanding of the situation is that Mike accepted the position at Elite for next year and was up front in telling Ashley/Scag at which time he was "released". I guess they would have preferred he waited until the season ended. Sometimes I guess it's not good to be honest with some people. Kind of a knee jerk reaction why not let him finish the season! The next two races will tell if Ashley/Scag was right or wrong.
If Memory Serves, the same scenario presented itself, years ago, with Dick Lahaie /Doug Herbert /Don Prudhomme?

When was Green upfront with Ashley/Scag ?
1. Before he had accepted Elite’s offer ?
2. After he had already accepted Elite ?
3. Who initiated discussions about going to Elite ? Green or Elite ?
4. Was Green willing and or able to finish the last 2 races with Ashley ?
5. Was Green unwilling and or unable to finish the last 2 races with Ashley ?
6. Was Scag/Ashley given an opportunity to match Elite’s financial offer to Green ?
7. Did Scag/Ashley refuse to match Elite’s financial offer to Green ?
The answers to all 7 questions must be known before a complete understanding can be had and an evaluation made of the known results: 1. Green hired by Elite. 2. Green released by Ashley/Scag
Just my thoughts 🤔

same thing happened a few years ago when Prock left Force for Schumacher. Prock gave JFR racing notice and they let him go.

So, if Justin wins the championship will Mike be up on the stage with the team ??
He wont win, kalitta has it all but

Im assuming the ashleys arent the nicest to work for?

It's not uncommon for any business to let an employee go when notice of non-return is given. Happens in the corporate world all the time. Business is often bereft of cordiality.

Best of luck to both teams. Green can tune and Ashley can split a Christmas tree off at the base.

So I guess the biggest question at TSR in 2026 will be
Serta 🛏 or Chesterfield 🛋 ?
Well Tony, which will it be?
Competition between a husband and wife seems to lead to problems in the relationship. Especially when they are in the same sport. Remember Tommy & Melanie, Richie & Erica ? Basically any competition in any area is a bad idea for husbands vs wives or boyfriend vs girlfriend imo. 🤔

Matt and Angie handle it well, although on same team
