Now we need the Humane Society to release another petition to make sure this creep gets jail time, and that the NFL sacks his sorry butt over this.

Anything less then this will NOT be a deterrant to other rich low life's to stop this barbaric practice.

ABC News: Vick to Plead Guilty

I agree Jackee, he needs to pay BIG TIME!!! It is beyond me how anybody could hurt and animal let alone several.

The sickening part of this deal is as screwed up as things are in this country, he'll probably get a $25.00 fine and told not to do that anymore. There is too much money to be made in the sports world with this clown. He hasn't even officially entered his plea yet, and ESPN is already talking about when he comes back to the NFL. They just don't get it, he hurts and kills animals and the most important thing to these people is his football career. Unbelieveble.

Hopefully justice is done, the judge BBQ's his ass, makes him go to a real prison, and shuts this loser down. Anything less is a joke.

Dave

Look at all the other criminals playing in pro sports.

He will likely get a year in jail(less for good behaivor) sit another season per the nfl, then if another team will touch him he'd be back for the 09 season

Michael Dick deserves to rot in Hell!
Remember just because the lawyers plea bargined a deal if the judge feels compelled by the acts he could give him the maximum setence which could be 5 years + and I hope he does!
You can take the punk out of the hood but you can't take the hood out of the punk.
These atheletes make me sick I don't think he will play again in the NFL they could ship his dumb black ass up to the CFL if they will have him.
So long Michael DICK!

I heard on CBS Radio news this afternoon that animal shelters Around the Atlanta area are receiving "donations" of his jersey, some of them signed, with instructions they be used for kennel bedding, and to wipe up "doggy accidents."

great post p.j, thats just was im thinking. i watched espn this afternoon, and they had on a writer for the atlanta constituton journal newspaper, and he said 88% of people polled in atlanta think vick is innocent- thats sickining! vick is beloved in atlanta, its terrible! only good thing is after the jail time and after the suspension, the falcons most likely wont want him back and vick will have a hardtime making it anywhere else. i hope this thug rots in hell!

Atlanta is probably the lowest educated city in this country! :p

I'm not on Mike Vick's side in this one bit, but it really troubles me that players that have commited Murder (Ray Lewis) or Rape (Kobe Bryant) get a pass. We continually make excuses for Professional athletes behavior. And now all of a sudden animals are involved and some people are talking Lifetime ban from the NFL!

Sportsfans can be very hypocritical!

Don't forget O.J.! He is really trying hard to find the killer isn't he.....
All he has to do is look in the mirror.

I hear you Joe I'm not a fan of men playing kids games, never have been!

Because it's "Win Baby, Win!!!"

You know, and I know, that if he gets his slap on the wrist, as all the legal experts figure, and the NFL bans him for, what, a year? SOME team WILL hire him, especially if they need a competent QB.

Mark my words, he'll play in the NFL again, and make more money. He'll establish the "Vick Resource Center For Abused Animals" or some such BS, and the fans in the city he'll land in will say "Hey, he paid his dues. Boy, can he throw a pass or what!?!?!?"

It's a culture of "Star Athlete" adoration that I fear won't stop any time soon.

From what I've read, this has been going on since the original olympics.

Very little new in this world.

I hope Mr. Vick becomes Ms. Victoria

He's gonna be a pampered star in prison. You know that.

As long as it doesn't involve kids, he's free and clear.

Look at what happened with Mike Tyson.

He beat his wife, and he had a big posse in prison. It's been documented that even the guards thought he got a raw deal.

What does the NFL have to do w/ what he does on his own time?
His vocation is not relevant to what he has been charged w/?

No, I do not know that he will be treated as a star....David, read what I wrote.... I said I hope, only because that is what that scumbag deserves. And if anyone feels otherwise...well, KMA!!!

All players have clauses in their contract about their behavior.....on and off the field. The NFL makes sure of that clause!

Michael Vick needs to go to jail, what he did was just sick.

BTW, Kobe isn't someone to lump into the category of "star athletes who got away with a crime" because it was proven the woman who accused him was a liar who wanted his money.

Terry, coming from you I would expect nothing different, you coming from a family full of Esq's.

A lot of employers will kick your ass to the curb if you plead guilty to a felony. That is a sure conviction, correct? At least that is how it is in Texas. Not sure what the great state of California thinks.

Kelly...I doubt his contract has 'no dog fighting allowed' in his scripts...And proper behavior in signed print can be filtered in many different ways by sooo many different types of ESQ's...
His being a football player has nothing to do w/ his behavior and I wish they'd keep his vocation out of the headlines...

The NFL will suspend him,and Arthur Blank will dump him. There is talk of a lifetime ban from the NFL.The new commish isn't playing games with behavour problems of players.

Personally I think Vick needs to be in a nice cage with about 8 or so of the type of dogs he had,so they can have a little "eye for an eye" with him.
