McBride Gets Deal for the Next Three Races

NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle rookie Angie McBride and Indicom Electric ink a deal for the next three races. McBride who sits seventh in the POWERade Championship point standings has been searching for a sponsor for the 2008 season in an effort to continue her first full season in the NHRA.

Not only is Indicom Electric stepping up, but her teammate’s (2007 Champ, Matt Smith) sponsor, Nitrofish is jumping on board as well.

“I am excited to be representing Indicom Electric and Nitrofish,” said McBride. “We are running great this year, but just need the financial backing in order to keep my bike going. I thought I was going to have to sit out the next few races, so you can imagine how relieved I am that Indicom and Nitrofish have stepped up and helped me out.”

McBride is a teammate to the 2007 Pro Stock Motorcycle Champion, Matt Smith, and the duo is no doubt a tough combination. Smith who sits second in the point standings has been helping McBride live her dream, but he also knows how tough it is to find a sponsor in order to keep those dreams alive.

“Angie is a great rider,” said Smith. “She is very marketable and would represent any company very well, hopefully we can get her something permanent soon. I know how tough it is to get a sponsor out here. Heck, I won the championship last year and almost didn’t race at all this year. I just keep telling her that things will fall into place if it is meant to be. We got a few things in the works, so hopefully she can race the rest of the year.”

McBride is still seeking permanent sponsorship for the remainder of the 2008 NHRA season, but with the help of Indicom Electric and Nitrofish she will be able to keep her dreams alive for a while
