Angie McBride and her Myhollywood.com Buell have been making headlines over the last few races. With two consecutive semi-final appearances last time out, McBride was one of the few Pro Stock Motorcycle racers that were considered to be underdogs of the class.
McBride as well as her teammate, Matt Smith had their share of problems this past weekend with both Buells.
McBride qualified her Buell in the 13th spot heading into raceday. She had a title contender first round, Chip Ellis, and knowing her bike wasn’t up to par; she knew she had to take a shot at the tree. The drag racing beauty red-lit, which ended her day at the Las Vegas track.
“I knew I had to push the tree,” said McBride. “I red-lit and I have no excuse. We had issues with our Buell this weekend and knew we would have to be stellar on the tree, so I took the chance. We still have one more race this season, so we will try and go some rounds and help Matt out at Pomona in two weeks.”
McBride has helped her teammate, series points leader, Matt Smith out tremendously since she came aboard this year. Hopefully she can once again do the same at the season-ending race at Pomona.
