MCBRIDE HAPPY WITH INDY OUTCOME

Drag Racing Beauty Angie McBride qualified for just her fifth race of the season this past weekend at Indianapolis Raceway Park. The rookie rider qualified her Carolina Speed Buell in the 11th position as she headed into her first U.S. Nationals raceday at Indy.

McBride ran great passes all weekend long and she showed no signs of letting up on raceday.

Having to race three-time NHRA Champion Angelle Sampey first round, McBride knew she would have to be perfect. Cutting a .020 light and running a 7.078 elapse time, McBride would beat the Champ the entire way down the track as she would sail her way into the second round of eliminations.
Having to run another three-time NHRA Champion, Andrew Hines second round, McBride once again knew she would have to be great on the tree and on the track.

Leaving on yet another rider, but slowing a bit on the track, McBride would lose the round to Hines, but her confidence is right back where she needs it to be.

“I am thrilled about this past weekend,” said McBride. “I finally feel good again about riding the bike. Things just seem like they are starting to come back together. I am excited about how things went at Indy and I can’t wait to get to Charlotte and show these Carolina Speed players how much excitement drag racing really has.”
