My quote was in response to the inquiry of some sort of penalization by NHRA, which there was none mentioned. It was handled "in-house" by DSR rather quickly and relatively quietly. If this had been in front of "the public" (i.e. an ESPN camera or at a National Event), or if something unlawful had happened, then perhaps NHRA would have had the need to step in.

Before crucifying anyone, lets wait and see what the offical response is. Phil Burgess is saying as of noon today Spencer coming back wasn't a done deal.
