I just wanted a chance to say "Thank You" to all that came to Marks "Celebration" on friday night. And a very special "Thank You" to Mike Aaby, Jay Payne, John Powers, Jimmy Stewart and all the rest that were involved in putting this party together! You are all amazing friends. We as his family could not possibly appreciate you more.

I enjoyed seeing friends and meeting people that I have not known in the past. I feel very blessed to have been part of this man's life that was so well loved and respected by so many...one could only hope!

The most profound moment of the evening was "The Moment of Silence" to reflect on how Mark touched our lives and 10-15 seconds into it...the most beautiful sound of nitro cars, one of which had Bobby at the wheel! Talk about taking a room of people to their knees!

Thanks again to everyone for all your love and support!

Cory:

I wish I could have been there last night.

You have an amazing family and support group who will always be there for you, Samantha, Tanis and the entire family.

I spent last night thinking about the first time I met Mark at the WDRS event in 1989 in Las Vegas...(THE OLD VEGAS TRACK)...when he ran the PSI. The fact he gave me all the time in the world to explain how that big ol blower worked to a 16-year old crew guy on a Super Comp Dragster.

I fast forward to the last time we spoke, just about a month ago about oil....he had more questions than I had answers for and I told him so. His final words to me were..."Well, don't be a stranger...come see us at the next race you are at...my pit is your pit..."

We will all miss Mark Niver, but he will always be an inspiration to me and If I can be 50% of the MAN he was....I will have had a good life...

Please let me know if there is EVER anything we can do for you...

Cory; yes it was a special evening! I was proud to be Mark's friend for a long time........... so long, that Tanis introduced me to someone as an "OLD old friend" !!! :)

Cory, I wish I could have been there. I'm so glad so many came to honor Mark. There really wasn't a nicer and more talented person on the planet. Please give your family a hug for me, expecially your awesome son.
