Plus the long relationship the Koretsky family has had racing with the NHRA. If someone is looking for a vote of confidence in the IHRA , the family"s decision in the future of the track, says alot.

I don’t think selling to IHRA was in the plans but most likely got an offer they couldn’t refuse. Kenny Koretsky has been battling health issues for a while and maybe they wanted to focus more on family than the track.
Boy, I consider that bad news. The Koretsky's seem to have done a nice job with the track, especially with the advertising - since as far as I know, they have continued to have good crowds for the NHRA event.
So when the IHRA collapses after a year or two, what happens then to Maple Grove?
My concern with IHRA buying up all the tracks, is if it goes south for them, a lot of good tracks could just go away. Not a fan of one entity having that much power so to speak. For you industry folks and folks smarter than me, am I worried for nothing?
The IHRA announced its acquisition of Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pa., marking a significant milestone for the sport of drag racing and another bold move

Informative article…not sure NHRA will agree to keep it on the schedule. Interesting times.
First E- town, now The Grove.... whenever a track is sold a little security is lost. Will the new owners be good custodians of our favorite sport, or will this be just like Red Lobster....buying up great pieces of land and discard the businesses....?
