That's so very sad. Lou put up one heck of a fight.

One of the greatest stories that I heard about Lou was when Steve crashed at Pomona couple years ago and everyone should have been running to him, Lou had fallen at the starting line attempting to get to Steve. Instead of people running to aid Steve, everyone went to help Lou. Just shows how people thought of him. Also glad he was able to enjoy the Division 7 Man of the Year award.

God Speed Lou.

That's a true story Justin, he slipped in oil when he was walking.....

RIP Lou

I hope you and Mert gang up on us with pranks :-)

Lou was one of the first guys to welcome me to TA/FC 20+ years ago. He was a great competitor and friend.

May God bless the entire Gasparrelli family

RG.

Very sad. Whats makes me smile though is remembering seeing Lou standing behind the car for the first time back in 1998 I believe, at the Winters and watching over the years as Steve developed, Lou always seemed to be enjoying himself.

God Speed Lou and my deepest sympathies to the entire Gasparelli family! He will be missed, but not forgotten!

Sorry to hear this news. Here is a picture that I can share from our days in TA/FC from the days at Firebird.

I have SO Many memories of racing with the Gasparrelli Clan. We met on the CB going over the Grapevine (Mountains) to race in Sacramento a LONG time ago.......Michael and I talked pretty much all the way there........That was all she wrote, I was fortunate enough to be taken in as a "Adopted Race Kid" at the track, and every where they were at, if we were there, I was in their pit helping out where ever I could.

Lot's of History, Lou and Vickie were the Best Track Parents a Kid could have ever had.....................RIP Louie (I wonder if Him & Mert are gonna get together and master mind a bigger plan :-)

Our sincere heartfelt condolences to Vickie, Steven, Sherri, Michael, Laura and many many more..........

I met Lou in 1992 at a Div. 7 race at the Old Las Vegas track, he spent like 20 min. Explaining an Alky FC to me! How the clutch fingers and counterweights worked! As a fan you never forget that stuff, He will be Missed!!!!:(

I only had the chance to meet him once but he was just so laid back that he impressed me greatly. He was a great man. God Speed Lou, and God bless your family in this time of healing.

Rick

I've had the honor of racing against both Lou and Steve Gasparrelli. Upmost respect for the family, and pray for peace during this time of grieving.

Lou was always friendly to fans (as are most div. 7 racers)...great memories seeing the tafc battles up at palmdale in the late 80's!
very sorry to hear
