I hope they get it right this time as I think they've tried fixing the bumps (dips) in the lanes where the tunnels are and have not been successful. It needs to be done as Bristol is too nice a facility to have track problems and the nitro teams really don't like it.

It was my understanding the last time was just a top surface repair. This new repair is a complete tear out and starting over. I agree. Watching the Nitro Cars there has not been as much fun as they used to be. Due to the cars unloading when the bumps come in.

That is real good to hear about. Also since that is an expensive repair. I forget who owns that track, but isn't that one of the Bruton Smith facilities? Regardless, it must make decent enough money for NHRA and the track owner to justify the cost of the repairs for one big race a year.

i'm sure most would rather have the event, than not have it, but in the case of VMP recently that could be disputed.
also i wonder is if it's a tremendous amount of work to make X amount of profit compared to making the same X with other events?
in other words, is it twice the work to profit the same as other events your venue hosts throughout the year that profit the same (or same net percentage)
with less work?
