Maybe Jimmy had one more division race to claim points and Joe didn't ?and without a contrived playoff, joe sorenson wins STOCK championship by 1 single point over jimmy hidalgo jr. what a great season for both.
question: joe was 20 pts. back of jimmy coming into vegas2. joe wins race and goes 4 rounds further than jimmy.
LODRS 7-7 both competitors lose in E5 yesterday. joe wins championship by 1 point. seems like he should have been ahead by more?
what am i missing?
that's what i was thinking too. they both must have claimed the national? and only jimmy able to claim the divisional?Maybe Jimmy had one more division race to claim points and Joe didn't ?
One thing you have to remember is that late-year races don't just add to the points total for sportsman classes like the pros. National points for these classes can only claim three out of up to six entered national events and five out of eight divisionals, so Sorensen's win at the Vegas national didn't simply add 105 points; it also subtracted 62, which was his worst claimed national up to that point, netting only a 43-point gain. Hidalgo didn't do well enough at the Vegas national to replace a previous race, so his total went unchanged and he came into the divisional down 23 points.and without a contrived playoff, joe sorenson wins STOCK championship by 1 single point over jimmy hidalgo jr. what a great season for both.
