INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 1, 2008 -- Peggy Llewellyn didn't show any rust from being idled most of this NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle season, as evidenced by her performance Monday at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals.

After qualifying 14th on the R2B2 Motors Buell, the San Antonio-based rider was ready for her race against Andrew Hines. She had a .013-second reaction time and covered the quarter-mile in 7.704 seconds. But she couldn't catch Hines, who registered a near-perfect .002 light and a time of 6.993 at 190.67 mph.

Hines went on to a runner-up finish in the event.

"I qualified for my second straight U.S. Nationals, cut a good light and the bike went straight," said Llewellyn. "I'm proud we had a good race. I want to thank R2B2 Motors and Mark Guidera's Rocklin Motorsports team for giving me this opportunity."
