Nunzio, sorry, I chose to focus on his early years and the struggle to make it in the sport. I've moved onto the next episode with Mike Dunn. Honestly, there are many I could have edited a Part 2 on. I've stuck to my guns on keeping them in a 30 - 40 minute range. Many of these episodes I had to edit down from 2 hours to what appeared. I know this isnt the answer you were looking for, but its the truth.

small business is tough. some tougher than others. i'd think racing a nitro FC in the nhra pro FC category on a shoe-string budget is pretty high on that list

I totally get that angle, Mike. The stresses of making financial ends meet, regardless of the business type can be overwhelming sometimes for sure. But in this particular case, that being racing, I can almost see that dynamic being backwards. I mean, the reason most of us ever got into racing to start with is because it's so damn fun and we tend to do whatever it takes to stay out there, again because it's so fun. In Whit's case, and I'm sure MANY others over the years, I could almost see the stresses being higher AFTER getting some significant money to run the car. I could see the angle of keeping sponsors happy and that money flowing in being much higher than just shoestringing it when you essentially don't have anybody to answer to.

Either way, I miss having him and guys/gals like him out there.
